About Erika
I am a professional violinist with over 18 years of experience studying the violin and ample teaching experience earned through Florida State University Music Education Department as well as maintaining an active violin studio. I have played with several professional orchestras such as the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, and Panama City Pops in addition to many other types of gigs. I am currently pursuing a Master of Advanced Studies in Violin degree from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland.
I hold a Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance from Florida State University (FSU) and perform as a violinist with several professional orchestras and organizations. While at FSU, I completed many music education and pedagogy courses with the FSU Music Education Department. I additionally have experience teaching large and small groups for strings and general music.

My teaching philosophy is based around the idea of finding maximum comfort with the violin and adjusting the technique to suit every persons unique body and needs. I believe students of any age can start and achieve great proficiency on the violin and deserve an attentive and thoughtful teacher.
