Matt worked with my daughter for a number of years. He was very good at making her feel comfortable and enjoy learning guitar. His approach was student centered, and his skills as a teacher are fantastic. It is nice to be able to trust a professional to work with your child, and I was able to fully trust Matt.

Matt is a great music teacher. He started teaching my daughter ukulele when she was in the first grade. When she got a little older, she switched to guitar. Matt helped her learn to live playing music and not to be afraid to try new songs or even instruments. Today she still plays guitar, but also viola, saxophone and many other instruments. Her (hopefully) lifelong love of playing music really flourished under Matt’s teaching, and I highly recommend him as a music teacher for anyone!

Matt definitely knows what he’s talking about. There have been countless times where he’s shown me things I knew nothing about. He’s fun to be around and great to talk to. He also listens to tons of music genres, so it’s easy to find common ground for what to play

I have a decent understanding of music, but I had less than no understanding of guitar. After getting a wild hair, I looked up guitar teachers next me. Matt was a bit further away than I had planned on, but seemed like a decent option. Within three months, I had enough of a grasp of the first to be able to play several basic songs, and even a few more complex ones that he worked on with me. I’ve taken lessons for multiple different instruments, but I can say that I definitely enjoyed his lessons the most! He was engaging, and his style of teaching isn't dry. I learned things that I wanted to learn and that made me excited to practice. I absolutely recommend Matt to anybody who is looking to learn to play guitar, at any skill level.

Matt has been teaching my son guitar for two years. Not only has my son gained significant progress I. That time but he now over to play every day. No other teacher was able to do that. Matt has a way of making his love of music shine through his students that a lot of teachers cannot do. He builds trust, encourages them to learn, and always reminds them why they wanted to play to begin with. He has been awesome to work with!
