About Malia
Hi! My name is Malia, I’m 23 years old and grew up in the United States, where I also attended high school. At 18, I moved to Germany and found my own path into medical school, which I have been pursuing ever since.
Although I currently study medicine in Germany, I still spend as much time as possible in the United States, whether visiting family, completing rotations and internships, or taking part in research. I especially enjoy being able to combine my medical education in Europe with experiences in the U.S. healthcare and education system.

Hi! My name is Malia. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where I graduated from high school before moving to Europe to study medicine and go directly into medical school without completing a traditional undergraduate degree first.
I have just finished my third year of medical school and will soon be starting my fourth year. I began preparing for USMLE Step 1 during my second year and continued integrating Step-focused resources into my studies throughout both second and third year, followed by a dedicated study period.
Having recently gone through the entire Step 1 preparation process myself, I know how overwhelming it can feel to choose the right resources, organize your study schedule, work through UWorld and First Aid, decide when to take NBMEs, and figure out which topics are truly high yield.
I would love to help other students navigate this process. Whether you are just starting your Step 1 preparation, need help understanding high-yield concepts, want to work through difficult topics together, need help creating a realistic study plan, or simply want advice and support along the way, I am happy to help.
As a medical student studying outside the United States, I can also offer advice specifically for international and European medical students preparing for the USMLE.
Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to work together. I’m excited to meet you and help make Step 1 feel a little less like a monster and a lot more manageable!
