About Fahima
Hi everyone! I’m a dedicated educator currently completing my professional Teacher Training in Religious Studies, following a degree in Education Studies.
I’ve chosen to specialise in RE and Philosophy because I believe these aren't just 'school subjects'—they are the ultimate toolkits for understanding the world. I want to teach you how to think, not what to think. My goal is to transform the classroom into a space where we can debate the 'Big Questions,' challenge our own assumptions, and explore the fascinating diversity of human belief.
I’m here to help you find your voice, build unshakeable arguments, and perhaps even get a little bit obsessed with the mysteries of existence along the way. Whether we are deconstructing ancient ethics or tackling modern dilemmas, I want you to leave every lesson feeling more curious than when you started.

I provide engaging, thought-provoking Religious Education (RE) and Philosophy tuition designed to help students navigate the "Big Questions" of life while securing top academic results. My goal is to move beyond dry facts and inspire a genuine passion for understanding the world’s diverse worldviews.
My Techniques & Teaching Methodology
I use a "Dual-Lens" approach: combining academic excellence (exam technique and literacy) with philosophical enquiry.
The Enquiry Method: I frame lessons around "Big Questions" to develop critical thinking and evaluative skills.
Socratic Dialogue: I use guided questioning to help students arrive at their own logical conclusions.
Active Literacy: We focus on mastering specialist vocabulary and structuring high-level "For and Against" arguments.
Multi-Sensory Learning: I incorporate primary texts, visual media, and real-world ethical dilemmas to make the subject relatable and "sticky."
Typical Lesson Length
60 Minutes: This allows for a 10-minute "intellectual warm-up," 35 minutes of core content/debate, and 15 minutes of exam-style application or reflective summary.
My Qualifications & Experience
I bring a deep understanding of pedagogy and current curriculum standards to every session:
Undergraduate Degree in Education Studies: Providing me with a firm foundation in how students learn and retain information.
Current RS Teacher Training (ITT/PGCE): I am currently "on the front lines" of Religious Studies education, meaning I am up-to-date with the latest Department for Education (DfE) requirements and GCSE/A-Level marking criteria.
Who the Lessons Are For
I offer tailored support across the following stages:
Primary (KS1 & KS2): Building foundational religious literacy through storytelling, ethics, and "Philosophy for Children" (P4C).
Lower Secondary (Year 7-9): Developing the analytical skills needed to transition into rigorous theological and philosophical study.
GCSE Candidates: Intensive focus on AO1 (Knowledge) and AO2 (Analysis/Evaluation) to maximise grades in Ethics, Philosophy, and Mark-specific religious studies.
