About Youchin

I'm a Korean student pursuing a legal career in London. But I'm more ambitious than simply developing a career: I know what I value and what I truly want to do given the critical thinking and writing skills my parents and mentors helped nourish when I was young. I hope my English, literature, or writing classes can be foundational to my student becoming more curious about the world and discovering new aspects within themselves. Through such critical thinking skills, the student will eventually gain clarity on what's important for one's life - whether they be a distracted or demotivated middle schooler, secondary school student choosing university paths, or a career changer.

About the lesson

I ensure that the student's practical aims are met - such as getting good marks in primary/secondary school, taking university entrance exams or making university applications, or developing a new area of knowledge or a deeper expertise as a professional. This is done by the Socratic method, cultivating refined critical thinking and writing skills through dialogue and constant feedback. The student will have a mentor that helps them reach new levels in thinking and writing. 1. For secondary school students seeking support regarding higher education and university students: I am an experienced writer having written essays in many different formats - university applications across 5 countries, university entrance exams, secondary school final exams, university assessments. I also honed my thinking and writing skills through the support provided by UK's top law faculty. I want to share my expertise to help students get the best support. 2. For those seeking to learn English in a fun way: I speak three languages, which means I know how to teach English in a fun and effective way. This applies for beginners and professionals. 3. For those who want to cultivate critical thinking skills or need help understanding an area of knowledge through reading sophisticated English texts, this is your tutor. The length is tailored to the student's needs.
