About Cassidy
My teaching approach uses rhythm as a foundation to help students feel more connected to their voice and their music. I guide singers in mastering timing, energy, and groove through rhythm-based techniques that bring songs to life. Whether it’s through clapping exercises, body movement, or tapping out patterns, we explore how rhythm shapes vocal expression. Key topics include syncopation, beat subdivision, and rhythmic phrasing—especially within genres like gospel, funk, and jazz. These styles are rich in rhythm and offer a perfect space for creativity and emotion. For students who learn best through movement or instinct, I create exercises that let them feel the pulse before they find the notes. We might layer rhythms, explore call-and-response patterns, or improvise over backing tracks to build confidence. Singers who struggle with staying on beat or want to add more power to their delivery find clarity through these rhythm-focused tools. I also support those who use singing as emotional release, helping them channel that energy into rhythmic control and vocal presence.

With over 6 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice, I specialize in group singing classes designed to bring families closer through music. My sessions welcome parent-child duets, sibling trios, and all kinds of joyful family vocal teams. We explore the power of harmony through partner singing, playful call-and-response exercises, and sing-along games that everyone can enjoy.
Genres like Disney, Gospel, Musical Theater, and timeless Singalong Classics form the heart of our repertoire. These styles are rich in emotion, storytelling, and energy—perfect for bonding and building confidence.
