About Skyla
I am a passionate singing tutor with 7 years of experience helping high school and college students find their voice. Over the years, I have taught between 150 to 200 students, many of whom have gone on to perform confidently on stage or pursue music further. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, creativity, and clear communication. I believe every voice is unique, and I work closely with each student to bring out their best through customized lessons. I focus on vocal technique, performance skills, and building self-confidence. One of my proudest achievements is seeing students grow not only as singers but also as individuals. Whether preparing for exams, auditions, or personal goals, I guide students step by step and help them believe in their potential.

My teaching approach in singing focuses on building a strong foundation in vocal techniques, including pitch accuracy, breath control, tone, and vocal range. I also cover related subjects such as music theory, ear training, and rhythm, to help students become well-rounded singers. Every lesson is tailored to suit the learner’s voice and goals, whether they are beginners or looking to refine advanced skills.
Compassion and communication are at the heart of my tutoring style. I listen to each student’s needs and create a supportive space where they feel confident to express themselves. I encourage questions and honest feedback, making sure every learner feels heard and valued throughout their journey.
Creativity plays a big role in my lessons. I use songs, exercises, and storytelling to make learning fun and memorable. I hold myself and my students accountable to keep track of progress and stay motivated. My goal is to help each student grow in both skill and confidence through positive, consistent guidance.
