My name is Surbhi Manchanda. As a qualified educator with a Master's degree in Computer Applications and over 10 years of hands-on teaching experience, I bring both technical expertise and a deep passion for making programming accessible and enjoyable. I’ve successfully taught learners across all levels—from school students taking their first steps in coding to college students and professionals seeking to sharpen their skills or switch careers. About the lesson

I have done Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) with 10+ years of experience teaching programming to school and college students, as well as working professionals. My teaching approach is interactive, hands-on, and tailored to the learner’s pace and goals. I use the following methods: 1. Concept-Based Learning: I ensure students fully understand the "why" behind every concept before moving to the "how". 2. Project-Oriented Practice: Each topic is paired with real-world mini-projects to apply skills immediately (e.g., building calculators, web apps, games). 3. Visual & Practical Tools: I integrate live coding sessions, flowcharts, debugging exercises, and code visualization tools. 4. Adaptive Learning: I adjust the pace and content based on the student’s performance, feedback, and confidence. 5. Encouraging Logical Thinking: I focus on developing computational and problem-solving skills alongside syntax. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with: a) 10 minutes review of previous concepts or quiz b) 35–40 minutes of concept explanation and interactive coding c) 10–15 minutes of hands-on tasks or Q&A I am proficient in Python, Java, C++, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and basic data structures and algorithms. I have taught over 300+ students online, helping many transition into coding roles or excel in academic assessments. I am familiar with curricula like CBSE, IGCSE, IB, university-level syllabi, and popular online platforms like Code.org, Scratch, and PythonAnywhere. My lessons are ideal for: a) School students (ages 10–18) wanting to build a strong foundation in programming b) College students needing support with programming subjects or projects c) Working professionals or beginners transitioning into tech or learning to code from scratch d) Learners preparing for coding interviews, internships, or academic programming exams.
