About Amanda

My goal is not only to teach signs but to help students build confidence, fluency, and meaningful communication skills that they can use in everyday life. I believe every student is capable of success when given the right tools, guidance, and encouragement.

Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve your existing ASL skills, I look forward to helping you on your learning journey. Together, we'll build the knowledge and confidence you need to communicate effectively and authentically through American Sign Language.

About the lesson

I believe learning should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student's individual needs. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and structured guidance to help students build confidence while mastering new concepts. I focus on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

A typical lesson may include:
Review (5–10 minutes) – Brief recap of previous material and assessment of understanding.
Introduction (10–15 minutes) – Presentation of new concepts or skills.
Guided Practice (15–20 minutes) – Working through examples together with support.
Independent Application (10–15 minutes) – Student practices skills independently while receiving feedback.
Summary & Next Steps (5 minutes) – Review key takeaways and assign practice or preparation for the next session.

Lessons are flexible and can be adjusted based on the student's needs and progress.
