About Carlos
I am a qualified English language teacher with a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) qualification awarded by the University of Cambridge and completed in person at the University of Sheffield. I also hold a PhD and an MSc awarded by the University of Bristol, and I have completed postdoctoral training at the University of Sheffield. Although my primary career has been in clinical neurosciences, teaching English is one of my greatest passions, and I bring the same dedication and expertise to language instruction as I do to my scientific work. Living in England for almost 10 years, primarily in the cities of Bristol and Sheffield, not only allowed me to achieve full proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in English but also gave me a deep understanding of British culture. My extensive academic and professional background equips me with the necessary skills to teach students from diverse cultural backgrounds and proficiency levels, ensuring a tailored and effective learning experience for each individual.
