My goal as a teacher is to act as a consistent and clear mentor, while also remaining flexible and attentive to each student's individual needs. I strive to inspire and challenge my students' creative processes, encouraging them to explore new ways of seeing and thinking. I believe that a well-rounded education in art requires a balance of design and craftsmanship fundamentals, diverse art-making techniques, and a broad knowledge of art history, both past, and contemporary.
