About Yara

My name is Yara, and I am a Doctor of Dental Surgery with two DDS degrees, including my most recent qualification from the University of Toronto. I bring a strong academic foundation combined with hands-on clinical experience in both Canada and Jordan, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and developing a deep understanding of dental sciences.
Throughout my academic and clinical journey, I have developed a strong passion for teaching and mentoring. I understand how challenging dental school and licensing preparation can be, and I aim to simplify complex concepts into clear, structured, and clinically relevant explanations. My goal is not only to help students succeed in exams, but also to help them build long-term confidence in their clinical thinking and decision-making.
I maintain a professional, supportive, and structured teaching approach that encourages active learning and critical thinking. Whether guiding students through foundational dental sciences or advanced clinical topics, I focus on clarity, exam relevance, and real-world application.
I work with undergraduate dental students, international dentists preparing for licensing exams, and pre-dental students who want to build a strong academic foundation in dentistry.

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual's goals, strengths, and learning style. My teaching focuses on building a strong understanding of core concepts rather than memorization, helping students develop the confidence to apply their knowledge in both exams and clinical settings.

Lessons typically last 60 to 90 minutes and combine interactive discussions, visual aids, clinical examples, practice questions, and exam-focused strategies. I also provide guidance on study techniques, time management, and effective approaches to tackling challenging topics.

My lessons are designed for undergraduate dental students, internationally trained dentists preparing for licensing examinations such as the NDEB, and pre-dental students seeking a strong foundation in dental sciences. Whether you need help with dental anatomy, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, treatment planning, or exam preparation, my goal is to help you achieve academic success while developing the critical thinking skills needed for a successful career in dentistry.
