About Alexia
I’m currently a university student, second year, in professional editing at Université Laval. My first certificate was in literary studies, and next year I’m beginning a bachelor degree in French teaching in high school, as a first language.
I am also on Preply, where a teach French as a second language and I tutored 1:1 some months when I was in CEGEP.

Hi, Alexia here! I’m a native French Canadian, which means that I mostly have a quebecois accent when I’m speaking. Since Quebec French is kinda one of the most difficult accent to learn, I’m mostly focussing my first to third/fifth lessons (depending on the level of the student) on pronounciation - and when I say pronounciation, it’s from scratch, so alphabet it is!
As for the tools I mainly use, it depends on the student (I teach and research for each of my students), but PowerPoint via screen share is what I create my lessons with. I’m also a "talker-learner", so there’s a lot of oral and conversation. I have some general websites I can recommand to starters, but I have no problem deepening my researchs if needed. Finally, I use Word for homework and vocabulary lists.
