About Dawn
Hi, I'm Dawn. I am a full time university psychology student who has obtained all GCSES (9-1) and has completed the International Baccalaureate. I specialise in Psychology as that is my course of choice, however, I have obtained good grades in Maths, English and Spanish which I believe will enable me to assist your child in their learning.
I have previous online tutoring experience whilst I was doing my International Baccalaureate but had to unfortunately stop that due to exam season, however, I am excited to start it again! I have also had ample time and practice in an early years settings as an assistant teacher so I also have a good understanding in how to help younger ones.
My teaching approach could be described as fun yet methodical. We all know that trying to memorise a big bunch of text or learn a bunch of equations off by heart with no solid understanding is not going to stick. I always do an introductory learning style test in my first session to find out how your child learns best and adapt my teaching styles and resources to that.

Hi,my name is Dawn and I am a 19 year old university student. I am entering my 2nd year of uni and have previously completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied Psychology in depth, covering phenomenons such as mental health and personal relationships
A new student of mine typically undergoes what I call a "what do you know?" test to help me understand their strengths and weaknesses. After this, we can create a ongoing lesson plan in order to cover all areas that need working on.
We all know learning large passages or repeating something over and over is not a good way to develop understanding, so I use a fun and methodical, interactive approach. Kids tend to remember things they enjoy more! This approach has been successful in my 2 years of tutoring thus far.
A lesson with me is typically 1 hour with a 5 minute break-inbetween for the student.
