About Danny
I’ve been teaching now for nineteen years. My teaching career started with tutoring. I worked in the writing center while an undergraduate student at Southern Illinois University. I’ve been highly rated by my students at the University of Colorado, and I’ve even won an award and been featured in several magazine articles. I take teaching and learning seriously.

I meet students where they are. I like to learn about them as people, since that better enables me to help them.
Because I’ve taught and practiced writing in a wide variety of contexts, I’ve developed a lot of flexibility in how I approach every student. My job as an educator is to find ways for students to connect with what they’re trying to learn. That’s what makes teaching both valuable and fun.
