About Chelsea
Hello! My name is Chelsea, and I am an Assistant Professor, researcher, and clinician with a PhD in Education. I have spent my career teaching, mentoring, and supporting students at the high school, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Throughout my academic career, I have helped students develop strong writing, research, and communication skills for coursework, theses, dissertations, research manuscripts, scholarship applications, personal statements, and professional documents. As a university professor, I regularly review and provide feedback on academic writing and understand the expectations of both higher education and professional settings.
My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can build confidence while improving their skills. I believe that every student can become a stronger writer with individualized guidance, constructive feedback, and practical strategies that can be applied beyond a single assignment.

A typical session includes reviewing your work, identifying areas for improvement, discussing revision strategies, and creating a clear plan for next steps. Students receive actionable feedback and individualized support throughout the process.
My teaching style is collaborative and practical. Rather than simply correcting work, I help students understand how to improve organization, clarity, argument development, grammar, and academic writing skills so they can apply these strategies independently in the future.
