About Marcela

I am a trained sociologist with a strong academic background and years of experience as a university lecturer. I studied Sociology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and hold two master's degrees: one in Social Sciences from FLACSO (Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences), and another in Innovation and Learning Management. I taught for several years at the University of the Caribbean, in the Department of Human Development. My approach is professional, respectful, and tailored to help adult learners feel confident and engaged in their Spanish learning journey.

About the lesson

My teaching method is dynamic and conversational, aimed at building fluency and confidence. A typical lesson starts with an open discussion to assess the student's level, followed by a short reading to introduce new vocabulary. We then use that vocabulary in guided conversations to reinforce learning and promote natural usage. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to personalize content based on each student’s interests—whether it's film, literature, art, or history—making lessons both engaging and relevant. I specialize in teaching adults and professionals, especially those relocating to Spanish-speaking countries, and I work with all levels.
