About Marcele Duarte
I hold a Master's degree in Law from the Postgraduate Program in Law at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), the institution where I also obtained my undergraduate degree. My academic and professional trajectory is marked by a solid immersion in Criminal Sciences, an area in which I am currently a postgraduate student at PUC-Minas and a member of the Criminal Law and Democracy Research Group, linked to CNPq. In addition to teaching and research, I work as a lawyer and facilitator of Peacebuilding Circles in Restorative Justice for the Court of Justice of the State of Pará (TJPA). My professional and research experience spans highly relevant institutional spaces. I worked as an Analyst Researcher in cooperation with the National Council of Justice (CNJ), assisting in the mapping and national analysis of the population suffering from mental illness in conflict with the law. I have published scientific articles, book chapters, and national reports, with a strong emphasis on Human Rights, Critical Criminology, and the analysis of Security Measures. Currently, I also teach as a guest lecturer in higher education, accumulating extensive experience in evaluating and participating in examination boards for Final Course Projects (TCC).
