About Megan
I like to take a more casual role in teaching, meaning that I like to know what the student will relate to better regarding analogies.
I have always excelled in the field of biology since I was a youngster always finding biology fascinating. This helped propel me into the field of science and the curious and questioning nature of it encouraged me to go on to attain my Masters of Science degree in Microbiology with distinction. I have some experience tutoring first-year students and very little experience with high school students.
I do enjoy explaining and simplifying biology to those around me, and am told regularly that I would be a good teacher.

I prefer to have an idea of the syllabus required from the student to properly prepare for any questions that might arise.
I am very enthusiastic about the wonders that lie in the world of science and biology. I enjoy transferring some of that enthusiasm to others and helping see the beauty that I see in how the intricacies of biology make everyday processes of organisms much more interesting.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans.
I utilize analogies to simplify complex concepts for easier understanding. Going back to the building blocks on which the concept relies for proper understanding.
I prefer high school students or first-year students.
