About William

Hello, I'm William! I'm a current University of Oxford MSc graduate student passionate about Public Health and Health Policy. During my undergrad at the University of Toronto, I was lucky enough to learn from fantastic professors and work alongside them as a TA. These experiences allow me to create effective learning environments for students like you. Learning, especially for Public Health, is meant to be interactive. We will go through all of the major topics together and I will supply homework and mock college exams to help you hone in your expertise. I will develop a personalized learning plan for our time together during our first call.

I've completed my undergraduate education in Public Health, being the top student in my program's graduating class, and now I want to help students achieve their own success as well. I've succeeded and I know you can too. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

I know that learning about Public Health can be difficult. However, my experience as a student and TA has allowed me to develop an effective learning plan for you to achieve success. I have two years teaching experience as a TA and was the best student in my graduating class for my undergraduate Public Health program. I am a Dean’s List Scholar and was the President of the Public Health Student Union, representing students in front of faculty and staff. I know what it takes to succeed and let's do it together!

Here's how we do it:

1) Our first lesson will be an introductory class meant for both of us to get on the same page on what our goals are together. This will include potential exams or assessments that you need to study towards. We will work back from this to develop our timeline of mastering the material.

2) Our second lesson will begin with me listening to how you have understood the content and reintroducing content in a new light. As a former student, I know that certain teaching styles might not align with your learning style. This is the time to change this and learn the content in your own way. I will assign some reading and some further homework to keep you engaged in the content until our next session. Feel free to text me and I'll be happy to clarify content during this time.

3) Following our second lesson, each new lesson will begin with a mock exam/assessment on the content analyzed the previous lesson(s). This will make sure to hone your expertise!
