I am a recent University of Oxford graduate with a first class degree in Modern Languages. I have worked and studied in Paris for two years. I am currently undertaking a law conversion course in London. I am DBS Enhanced check and have 6+ years of teaching experience with students year 9 - 12.

My approach to tutoring is based on a philosophy of balance between the fulfilment of objective assessment / examination criteria and the development of a student’s personal engagement with learning. The nature of tutoring is such that tutors are only ever with students for a limited amount of time. In order to properly capitalise on this time, I believe that it is crucial for the student to succeed not only in the relevant assessment for which they are preparing, but also to gain in confidence and in ability so that they may work effectively and independently in the longer-term. To do this, I tailor sets of comprehensive lessons to each student. In this way, I can ensure that my students cover the necessary ground to achieve their full potential, and do so in a way which will make a lasting difference to their engagement with the subject.
