About Femi
Hello, I’m Femi, a Modern Languages student at the University of Leeds with a passion for languages, education, and helping others achieve their goals.
I am half French and have spoken French throughout my life, which has given me a strong understanding of both the language and the culture.
Outside of university, I have several years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students in their learning and development. Through this role, I learned how to communicate clearly, build confidence in young people, and adapt to different personalities and learning styles.
I am also a keen sportsman and currently play football alongside my studies. Balancing academics, work, and sport has taught me the importance of discipline, organisation, and consistency which are qualities that I bring to everything I do.
Having recently completed GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I understand the pressures students face and the strategies that can make a real difference to both confidence and performance. I look forward to helping students reach their potential and achieve their academic goals.

I am a first-year Modern Languages student at the University of Leeds offering GCSE Maths and GCSE/A-Level French tuition online and in London.
My teaching approach focuses on building understanding first and then developing exam technique. I believe students make the most progress when they understand why a method works rather than simply memorising answers. Lessons are tailored to each student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and academic goals.
For French students, lessons can include grammar, vocabulary development, speaking practice, listening skills, translation, essay writing, and exam preparation. For Maths students, lessons focus on mastering key topics, problem-solving techniques, and tackling exam-style questions with confidence.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French, 88% at A-Level French, and am currently achieving First-Class marks in my university French studies. I also achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths. In addition, I have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students in a classroom environment and helping them develop confidence in their learning.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. I teach students from KS3 through to GCSE in Maths and French, as well as A-Level French students looking to improve their language skills and examination performance.
Whether the goal is to improve confidence, catch up on difficult topics, or achieve top grades, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can make consistent progress.
