About Blake
Hi, I’m Blake — a psychology lecturer at Curtin University with a PhD in psychology. I teach research methods, statistics, and how to use the latest AI tools, and I’ve taught thousands of students across undergraduate, Honors, Masters, and PhD levels.
I genuinely enjoy helping students go from feeling confused (or intimidated) by research methods and statistics to having that moment when everything starts to make sense and you feel capable and confident. I’m patient, structured, and practical, and I focus on explaining concepts in plain language while also helping you apply them to your own coursework, assignments, datasets, or dissertation/thesis. I also help students learn how to use the latest AI tools to advance their learning and prepare themselves for their future careers.
My goal is simple: to help you understand what you’re doing, improve your confidence, and get better grades.

As a PhD psychology lecturer at Curtin University, I specialise in helping students master psychological research methods, statistics, and how to use the latest AI tools to advance their learning. My lessons are ideal for high school, undergraduate psychology, Honours, Masters, and PhD students who feel overwhelmed by research methods, data analysis, and interpreting results.
Sessions are structured, supportive, and practical. We work through your coursework, assessments, datasets, or research questions step-by-step, and I focus on helping you understand why the analysis works — not just which buttons to click. I can also help you learn how to write your research report, dissertation, or thesis to the standard of a published academic research paper (and following APA guidelines). Lessons are available in-person in Perth, WA or online anywhere in Australia.
