About Chris
I am an electronic music producer, visual artist, DJ and university lecturer. I have experience teaching postgraduate and undergraduate students in the classroom, plus online via Zoom with multi-camera studio focal points. As a professional, I have been producing music for over fifteen years and have released on several independent record labels, plus managed three imprints myself. I have been DJing since 1998 and have played at iconic clubs and festivals in the UK and overseas, using turntables, CDJs and modern software. My education background includes a Distinction MSc in Audio Engineering, a First Class BA (Hons) in Digital Music, plus 120 hours TEFL accreditation.

About the lesson

My methodology of teaching within music, is a practice-based approach of creative involvement and experimental freedom within coursework projects. From me you can expect a portion of the lesson to be theoretical with slides, followed by a step-by step demonstration of said topic, finishing with a workshop activity. Each lesson will be focused on a certain aspect of music production processes, with the entire curriculum enabling students to work towards creating their own track/song step-by-step until completion.
