About Rebecca
I would call myself an AuDHD hedonist with a deep love of complex challenges. I have had a circuitous work journey that started with a custom sewing business, moved into nonprofit administrative support, through graduate study in English literature and composition, into (and out of) the college and high school classroom, alongside US Coast Guard acquisition teams, to the American Embassy in Morocco, and finally, here, to walk with you in your learning journey.
I entered college for the first time at 25 and completed my BA in 3 years, my MA in 2 years, and my PhD in 5 years. I love learning and know how to get work done quickly and well.
As a woman from a working-class family background, I have first-hand experience learning how to navigate organizational politics as a rank outsider, building reciprocal mentoring relationships for professional growth, and trying to translate her experiences in business and academia for her family and friends back home.

As a former university writing instructor, high school English teacher, and technical writer, I am skilled in all forms of reading and writing, from resumes to essays, test prep to literary analysis, dissertation and thesis support, and even speech creation and presentation.
I've been teaching or tutoring for over 15 years and am especially adept at working with neurodivergent adults and teenagers, including those with Autism and ADHD.
In addition to teaching reading and writing skills, I am also very effective in teaching project management skills and helping students and professionals of all types to get their projects done in a timely manner with good results.
