I believe that every student learns differently, and my approach to private tutoring is centred around understanding the individual behind the learning.
My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and expressing when they don’t understand something. I never want a student to feel embarrassed for struggling with a topic. Instead, I believe in patience, encouragement and finding different ways to explain something until it genuinely clicks.
I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, learning style and personal goals. From there, I can adapt my lessons to suit them rather than expecting them to adapt to a one-size-fits-all teaching method.
I also believe that tutoring should help students become more independent and confident learners. While improving grades and academic performance is important, I want my students to leave each session feeling that they are capable of achieving more than they initially believed.
Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, strengthening their understanding of a subject or simply building their confidence, I will meet them where they are and work with them at a pace that feels manageable.
For me, private tutoring is not just about teaching a subject — it is about building trust, encouraging curiosity and helping students recognise their own potential. I want every student I work with to feel heard, supported and proud of their progress.
