About Luke

I am a graduate student in Anthropology and hold a degree in French from the University of Washington. I have taught for 2 consecutive years at the University level and have also tutored many students. For many years I have taught private adult and group lessons.

About the lesson

My teaching method is using the French language at all times. Even if the class is a intro-level class I believe all students of any age and level can begin comprehending this language from the first day of instruction. I believe in immersive and interactive techniques.

I have taken French classes with Luke at University of Washington during my freshman year. I had no experience in learning French in high school, so I was a beginner. Luke has offered tremendous support in a sequence of French classes. Luke is always well prepared for classes. More importantly, he is willing to go through French grammar and homework patiently with us students after class, and his instruction is always very clear and easy to understand. Taking French classes with Luke has definitely prepared me for taking advanced level classes.
