Hello! I'm Freya.
As a passionate language educator with over 1,000 hours of practical teaching experience, I offer highly customized lessons in BOTH Mandarin Chinese and English (ESL/Academic).
My Qualifications & Experience:
I am currently completing my Master of TESOL at the University of Melbourne. I am fully dual-certified, holding an International Chinese Teacher Certificate (CTCC), a Grade 2-A Mandarin Proficiency Certificate, and a National Teacher Certification for English. Furthermore, I hold a valid Victoria WWCC for complete peace of mind when teaching minors.

For Kids & Teens: Beginners learning phonics/Pinyin, bilingual kids needing heritage language maintenance, or high school students preparing for language exams.
For Adults & Professionals: Expats, uni students, or professionals looking to master conversational, business, or academic Chinese/English.
My Teaching Methodology:
My teaching philosophy revolves around "Differentiated Instruction"—no two students are the same.
For young learners, I use gamified, highly interactive, and scenario-based activities to make language acquisition fun and natural.
For adults, I leverage my academic TESOL background to logically break down complex grammar and syntax (Metalanguage) instead of relying on boring rote memorization. I also integrate cross-cultural nuances drawn from my extensive bilingual translation experience.
️ Typical Lesson Length:
A standard lesson runs for 45 to 60 minutes to ensure maximum focus and retention. However, I can flexibly adjust the duration (e.g., 30 mins for younger kids or 90 mins for intensive test prep) based on your specific learning goals.
