About Rachel

I am passionate about young people having ownership of their learning journey. A mum of 2 teenagers I understand the trials of navigating school and realise this does not fit every young person. I am patient, caring and understanding willing to listen and adapt to how you learn so that you can feel a sense of achievement in your journey.

About the lesson

With 15 years' experience I have gained a lot of skills supporting young people to find a voice in their education. Listening, adapting and bringing fun, interesting learning using language that is appropriate and understood to those that struggle in a classroom setting. I have worked as an LSA in mainstream classrooms, small groups and 1:1s as well as more recently providing alternative provision at home as a Tutor/Mentor. My main experience has been within primary although I am now also working up to Year 8.
My passion is to finally engage young people with their learning at a pace that is right so that there is a sense of achievement for them.
