About Max
I am an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge, studying German and Russian, having achieved 4 A* grades at A Level in English Literature, French, German and Latin. At GCSE, I was awarded 8 Grade 9s (including German and Latin) and two Grade 8s, and I won the German Prize at St Paul’s School, London, where I was a senior academic scholar.
In 2023–2024, I tutored GCSE German students at school. I also taught myself the entire French GCSE syllabus independently prior to picking it up at A-Level, so I understand language learning from both the student and tutor’s perspective. My approach is calm, encouraging and highly results-focused.
