About Sid
I’m a guitarist with around 10 years of playing experience, and I enjoy a wide range of styles – from blues and rock to jazz.
Some of my biggest influences include players like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eddie Van Halen, and Joe Pass, which has shaped the way I approach the guitar – focusing on feel, creativity, and understanding the instrument rather than just copying songs.
I come from a strong musical background, with family members who are also musicians, so music has always been a big part of my life.
Alongside studying as an undergraduate, I’ve spent time teaching beginner guitarists, helping them improve quickly by keeping things simple, practical, and focused on actually making music.
I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you can build confidence and enjoy learning, while developing real skills that help you progress independently.

My lessons are designed to get you playing real music as quickly as possible.
I teach beginners using a simple, practical approach:
we start with easy blues-style playing, then use that to understand how guitar works and apply it to songs you actually love!
Instead of just memorising chords or tabs, you’ll learn patterns that let you:
* play along to songs
* experiment and create your own original songs
* and improve much faster overall
Lessons are relaxed and tailored to you – no pressure, no complicated theory, just steady progress and real results.
You can learn on acoustic or electric guitar, and I’ll adapt everything to your level and the music you like.
