About Rita

I believe that a good teacher listens to theirs student and understands what motivates them.

I don't believe that a teacher is superior to a pupil. I believe in working as a team. My goal is to lead my students through difficulties by working together.

I am a mom and an undergraduate student which means that school memories are still fresh in my memory but I am also experienced enough to understand how to pass on my knowledge to help my students succeed. I can also assure you that being a mom has made me extra understanding and therefore patient and caring for your needs.

I know that we can succeed together!

About the lesson

My name is Rita and I am currently an undergraduate student.

I have taught a wide variety of induviduals from all ages, backgrounds and learning disabilities such as autism, adhd and dislexia.

I teach English EN language, PortuguesePT, Maths (up to GCSE level) and other.

I have a long list of skills, qualifications and many years in the educational system that make me the best tutor for you. Mostly because I believe a great teacher is someone who understands their students to the core and adapts to help them reach their objectives. I am aim to be respecful, understanding, engaging, motivating and supportive.

When you choose to work with me I will have an initial chat with you to get to know you a bit better and this can be done however you prefer (message, videochat, call etc).

My goal for this chat will be to understand what your goals are, if we are the right fit for each other and we will also discuss your learning style (which is the way you learn best).

Before our lessons I will be sure to design a personalized curriculum to suit your needs and goals.

Each lesson will have visible checkmarks which we can use to track our progress and motivate us to keep reaching for our goals.

My goal is to make lessons as engaging as possible.

At the end of each lesson we will have time for questions in order to assess our progress.

I will ask you questions on the subject we have talked about and I will also ask you things like "what did you enjoy about this lesson?"; "what could be improved" and "what are you looking forward to doing next week?"

This feedback help me improve my teaching toolbox and help me help you.
