About Nina
My name is Nina, and I have been passionate about Classics since I first had the opportunity to take Classical Civilisation at GCSE. I absolutely love teaching the subject and seeing students' confidence and enthusiasm blossom. Beginning studying the subject at University inspired me to want to teach younger students and encourage a love for this subject in others. Having just completed first year, I achieved a first class in 5/6 of my modules. This demonstrates my commitment and strong understanding of the subject, which I aim to foster within my pupils.

My approach to tutoring is always with the aim of guiding rather than teaching. I will jump in when necessary with other ideas, but encourage students to think independently to build confidence. My sessions typically last an hour, but I have also taught up to 2 hours. I have tutored a student at GCSE level, helping them advance by 2 grades; I have most recently been tutoring two A-Level students, having noticed significant difference in their confidence and self-esteem.
