About Jess
Hi, I'm Jess! I am a current undergraduate student at the University of York, studying English Literature and Politics. After achieving top grades in my exams I want to share my best strategies for success! As a fellow student, I understand the immense pressure of exams, and how even the smartest of students can buckle under pressure. Using my experience with beating exam anxiety and struggles for motivation, I aim to support students with good pre-exam habits, revision tips, and how to keep yourself sane in an insanely stressful time. Good exam results start with a calm mindset and self-confidence!

-Offering online lessons, but also open to in-person sessions in the York area -60 minute lessons -Grade 9 GCSE in English Literature and Language -A Grade A-Level in Politics and English Literature (AQA) With experience in teaching assistance for GCSE English groups and excellent outcomes in both GCSE and A-Level, I am excited to offer tailored lessons for GCSE and A-Level students. Focusing on exam technique and in-depth study of texts/content, I will work alongside students to develop on areas for improvement in their current work. By studying exam board mark schemes, lessons will focus on hitting assessment objectives precisely, and creating the best answer structures to show examiners your best work! I provide an uplifting, understanding and confidence-inspiring environment, and provide tips on beating exam anxiety and procrastination.
