As a recent UC San Diego graduate (4.0 GPA) and incoming medical student with a 523 MCAT score (99th percentile), I specialize in helping pre-medical students excel in their MCAT preparation and core science coursework. My experience as an Undergraduate Instructional Apprentice in Genetics and Supplemental Instruction Leader for Organic Chemistry has honed my ability to break down complex concepts into manageable components, while maintaining high student satisfaction (97.5% recommendation rate).
My teaching approach focuses on meeting students where they're at and building up from fundamentals rather than relying on rote memorization. I work with each student to identify knowledge gaps and develop personalized study strategies, particularly emphasizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for MCAT success.
I have earned interviews at 12 MD schools including Harvard, Northwestern, UChicago, Baylor, UTSW, UCSD, and UCI, along with an acceptance to an MD school.
