About Ethan
Hi, I'm a fourth-year Psychology student at UC San Diego, currently working as a Behavior Technician supporting children with autism. This hands-on clinical experience means I don't just know psychology from textbooks — I apply these concepts daily in real therapeutic settings.
I've maintained strong academic standing throughout my coursework in psychology, and I understand firsthand how challenging concepts like statistics, research methods, and developmental theory can feel when you're first learning them. My goal is to make those concepts feel manageable and intuitive, not overwhelming.
I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy helping students build real understanding rather than just memorizing material for a test. Whether you're prepping for an exam, working through a tricky research methods assignment, or just need psychology concepts explained in a way that finally clicks, I'm here to help you succeed.

I make psychology stick by connecting it to real behavior, not just memorized definitions. As a Behavior Technician working with children with autism, I see concepts like reinforcement and developmental milestones in action daily — and I bring those real examples into sessions.
A typical lesson starts with checking what's confusing, then breaking it down with plain-language explanations and real examples rather than re-reading the textbook. We work through practice questions or exam material together, adjusting pace based on where you're stuck.
What sets me apart: I'm actively working in the field, so I can explain why a concept matters and how it shows up in real life — which makes abstract theories like operant conditioning or attachment theory much easier to retain.
Who this is for: High school AP Psych students, undergrads in Intro Psych, Developmental Psych, Abnormal Psych, or Research Methods/Statistics — and anyone prepping for exams who wants concepts explained clearly, not just re-read from slides.
