About Davide

Looking to improve your spoken and written English? For the past year I have tutored people of varying ages with diverse levels of English, helping them find their confidence and, most importantly, enjoy the process of learning the English Language.

At University, I was a ‘Transition Mentor’ for two years, where I supported first-year students settle in and adapt to the academic writing style. Since then, I have tutored a number of students in the English Language, ranging from levels A2 all the way to C2. I have taught 1-1, but also to a large cohort of students (20 people). My tutoring is very much tailored to students whose English is not their first language, but I also help those who seek to improve their essay writing styles.

My formal qualifications include:
A* Classical Civilisation, A in English Language (A Level)
First Class with Honours from BA History of Art (UCL)
Soon I will begin an MPhil at the University of Cambridge

About the lesson

Through one-to-one private tutoring, it would be my objective to make you gain confidence in expressing your written and spoken voice. In a friendly and stimulating environment, each lesson will target your needs so that concepts and themes you struggle with will gradually become clearer. Whether you are seeking to improve your grades, or are just looking for an extra challenge, I will tailor each lesson to what you desire.

I can help with:
English language (as a foreign language) — from A1-C2 proficiency (depending on your needs)
English language A Level - I do not teach GCSE
General essay writing (for university, A Level or GCSE)
History of Art - up to undergraduate level

I can also help with general writing or speaking skills, such as essay writing, proofreading, and conversation practise.

Each lesson lasts 60 or 90 minutes, and takes place online or in person. First lesson is complimentary so that I can assess your needs, get to know what you are looking for, and see if we are a good match.

*My hourly rate is a sliding scale, so I can offer lessons for a lower price depending on your situation, just let me know and I'll see what we can do!*
