About Cleome
I am a graduate of French & Arabic from UCL and SOAS, and will be soon starting at Oxford as a postgrad student in comparative literature. I excelled in my dissertation (80%) and essay assignments (marks from 78 - 89%). I wish to pass on what I have learnt about dissertation and essay planning, writing and editing from my four years so far of studying at university level.

I give lessons to undergraduate students, including final-year students working on their dissertations. I will first ask you to send me a sample of your writing in advance of the lesson and can also send you an extract of my own writing, or of an academic essay of a relevant structure and topic. In our lesson, I go through your writing with you, assessing the following: your argument and how you maintain it; the sophistication of your expression; the clarity of your expression; and spelling, grammar and syntax.
