About Michaias
My life has been positively impacted in a variety of ways due to my involvement in music and would love to pass on my passion, experiences and knowledge of music to others. I hope that as a result, students will be able to develop a life-long love of music.

I love to meet students at their current level and ability and give them the necessary tools they need to help them reach where they need to go, but also to inspire them and help them to construct their own personal goals.
I am happy to teach 20 minute, 30 minute or 1-hour long lessons.
I am happy to teach all ages and abilities.
In terms of my current teaching experience, I have successfully completed a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM) teaching diploma.
I have also covered both group and one-to-one teaching for the Hackney Music Development Trust (HMDT) on a few occasions (mainly working with brass students), alongside doing some tutoring for the Chineke! Junior Orchestra; giving guidance to the brass students and co-leading the brass sectionals.
In addition to my current teaching experience, I have learnt more about the art of teaching and have completed two years of the Benedetti Foundation’s Ambassador Programme; learning about instrumental teaching and community music work skills.
I have also increased my trombone teaching experience by getting involved in this community project in Kenya, called ‘Ghetto Classics’; a music education project to help educate and empower the young people living in slums around Kenya. Here I have done a mixture of both one-to-one and group trombone teaching.
