About Andrew
I’m a specialist tutor and educational consultant with a background in psychology, game-based learning, and working with young people who don’t fit the mould. I work best with neurodivergent learners, school-refusers, and anyone who’s fallen through the cracks but still wants to learn on their terms.

I don’t teach SEND. I teach people. The system just happens to label them that way. My sessions are built around trust, curiosity, and connection—especially for those who’ve been burnt out by school, misdiagnosed as “lazy,” or lost in systems that didn’t know how to listen. We might use chess, storycraft, maths games, or philosophical questions. Sometimes we play. Sometimes we debate. Sometimes we just make space to breathe. It all depends on who they are and what they need.

Details
Most sessions are 2 hours long—this gives us time to settle in, explore ideas properly, and work at a pace that honours the young person, not the clock. Shorter sessions are possible where needed, but 2 hours is usually the sweet spot. Direct Payments welcome. I’m happy to provide invoices, reports, or liaise with families and support teams where needed.
