About Deanna

I've always loved tutoring. The way I personally retain information is by being able to teach and explain what I just learned, this method has made me love teaching for others to understand and that's when I decided to use some of my areas of expertise to help others through tutoring.
I taught an online class for Pre-K. I've tutored a 1st grader, who was at risk of being held back. I helped him improve his reading skills, as well as his math skills. I've tutored an 8th grader in algebra. I helped her understand whatshe was learning in class, assisted her with her homework, and aided her in test prep. I also tutored a college studentin essay writing. I helpedthem to be able to be confident in beingable to format an essay no matter the prompt and to be less intimated by long forms of writing by helping them to create different methods of forming an essay depending on the question. And much more!

About the lesson

It's important for me to help students to be confident in what they know, and to enjoy learning! When I teach I make sure I'm using methods that are tailored for each student and I want to help them to see real growth!
For learning English or essay writing for an English speaker; I use lessons that are organized in a way for the student to be able to dive right in and improve through practice. I'm really down to earth and personable, so I enjoy forming bonds with each student and making my lessons comfortable and fun!
