I have an empathetic, encouraging teaching approach. Obtaining a strong technical foundation is essential, I believe, for playing with confidence, enjoyment and passion! I love to work on music the student enjoys and if this is uncertain I will of course help in the discovery process. If the student wishes to work towards exams they would do so with my full support and guidance throughout. The most important aspect is to enjoy the journey of learning, playing and understanding the instrument and its potential.

Charlie is a fantastic Viola player and violinist with an amazing back catalogue of work. She is a warm, sensitive, dedicated teacher to her students and gives her all to lessons that are fun and engaging! She has really made a big difference to my technique and confidence. I would highly recommend her!
