About Jesse-Kim
My name is Jesse and I wish I had had someone sit down with me, the way I do with my students, when I was at school. I only discovered how incredible school was and how fun the topics could be once I was finished with school, and what a waste that is. I want to inspire learners to become excited by all sorts of information so that they can enjoy the process throughout their lives - because learning is not just confined to school years.
I get excited about topics that interest me and the most satisfying aspect of what I do, is when I "see" the little light bulb go off when a student understands the work.

My approach to tutoring and teaching is to provide students with the ability to understand the work in an uncomplicated way, provide ways to study and most importantly, fall in love with the process of learning.
I choose to do most of my teaching in English, however I am proficient in Afrikaans.
In a typical lesson we will first tackle the basics to see what level the student is on, then move onto what the learner does not understand, practice the work, and finally how to approach the studying and memorising of the work for tests and exams.
My lessons are aimed at all age-groups, all levels - albeit whether you know your work and just want to bounce ideas off of me; or focus on exam preparation. Or if you need help with all the basics and building confidence.
