About Sermin
I am phd researcher in language teaching, and have been teaching English for many years now. Languages hold me spellbound, and as a learner of a foreign language, I can relate to the long journey of mastering a language.
I hold my BA in English Studies, and a master degree in language teaching from Sheffield. Currently, I work on Phd research.
I have taught English in professional settings, and given private Turkish lessons.

I prioritize authenticity in my teaching approach and hence make use of authenctic materials. I place interaction in the centre and a blended approach to teaching. That learning the language has to be fun is the key principal.
Depending on the learner needs, the lessons can be structured around main language skills. We can work on speaking skill if fluency is your goal, or follow an exam-focused syllabus. From a complete beginner, all the way up to advanced level learners are welcome!
