About Helen
I am a UK-trained primary teacher with over 10 years of experience, currently teaching in a British curriculum school in Dubai. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence and a genuine love of learning, particularly in the early years of their education.
I am known for being calm, patient and approachable, and I build strong, positive relationships with the children I work with. I believe that when children feel supported and understood, they are far more likely to succeed and enjoy the learning process.
I take pride in delivering high-quality, personalized support, adapting my approach to suit each child’s individual needs. My goal is always to create a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel motivated, capable and proud of their progress.

My tutoring approach is centered around building confidence alongside strong academic foundations. I specialize in phonics and math, using a clear, structured approach supported by practical, hands-on activities to ensure children fully understand concepts rather than simply memorizing them.
Each session is carefully tailored to the child’s individual needs, whether they require additional support or greater challenge. I use a mix of modeling, guided practice and independent tasks to help children feel secure and successful in their learning.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adapted for younger children. I work with children aged 3–11 and have over 10 years of experience teaching within the British curriculum.
My aim is always to create a calm, positive learning environment where children feel motivated, supported and able to make meaningful progress.
