About Preetha
I'm a trained South Indian Classical (Carnatic) vocalist with over 20 years of professional singing experience. I teach students of all ages and levels - from complete beginners learning their first sarali varisai to more advanced students working on kritis. My teaching is rooted in traditional Carnatic music training, paired with patient, structured guidance suited to each student's individual pace and goals.

My lessons are structured around each student's current level and goals, whether that's building a strong foundation or preparing for performances.
For example, for beginners: We start with the basics — sarali varisai, jandai varisai, alankarams, and geethams — while building proper voice technique, breath control, and shruti (pitch) alignment from day one.
Each lesson is one-on-one and paced to the student, with practice assignments between sessions and regular feedback on technique.
