About Audrey

Hello! My name is Audrey Ella, and I’m a professional dancer, actress, and singer. I’m currently dancing on tour with Do Portugal Circus, and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to be your (online) dance teacher!

I graduated with my B.A. in Theatre Arts with a Musical Theatre concentration from William Jessup University in 2023, and since then, I’ve been traveling and performing professionally across the U.S.!

Some of my favorite past credits include “A Chorus Line” (Judy Turner) at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, “White Christmas” (Judy Haynes) at the Classic Theatre of Maryland, “Crazy For You” (Betsy/Female Dance Ensemble) at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, “42nd Street” (Female Swing) at Surflight Theatre, “Holiday Inn” (Brenda/Female Dance Ensemble) at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, and “The Speakeasy: Age of Scofflaws” at the Palace Theatre.

I have been training in dance, singing, and acting since the age of 13, with a strong foundation in styles inspired by 1920s–1950s Broadway and Hollywood (as seen in "La La Land", "Singin' in the Rain", "White Christmas", "Burlesque", "A Chorus Line", etc). My specialties include musical theatre dance, jazz, tap, the Charleston, and showgirl dance.

In addition to performing, I bring over 7 years of teaching experience, having worked with companies such as Berkeley Playhouse, Starbound Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company, and Royal Stage Performing & Visual Arts. I’ve taught students of all ages, from young children to adults, across a wide range of skill levels.

As both a performer and teaching artist, I am deeply passionate about musicality, storytelling, and character work. Through movement, you can bring music to life, express your emotions, tell stories, and develop your own unique stage presence and flair.

Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I strive to create a supportive, inspiring environment where you can grow with confidence.

About the lesson

When it comes to teaching, I believe in connecting with the learning styles/preferences of my students. Every person learns differently, and I think it's crucial for that to be recognized and respected in order for them to succeed! No matter what your learning style may be, I will be sure to tailor my lessons to meet you where you're at.

A typical lesson plan involves:
- A warm-up
- Working on a skill or trick of your choice (up to 3 per lesson to ensure ample time to focus on each skill/trick)
- Working on a combination
- A cool-down

Whether you want to take lessons recreationally, or whether you want to pursue dance on a more professional scale, I will customize and adapt your lessons to fit your personal goals.
