About Nicholas
I scored in the top 10 percent on my own standardized tests and went on to graduate from a top European university, so I know firsthand what a strong score actually requires, not just in theory but from having done it under real pressure.
I've spent ten years tutoring GMAT, GRE, SAT, and ACT students, working with people aiming for elite programs and people who just need a reliable, solid improvement to hit their target school. Both matter equally to me.
I track every student's practice results closely, so I know exactly which question types are costing points and adjust the plan accordingly instead of running a generic review. I show up prepared for every session and I'm direct about where you stand and what it will take to improve.
If you want a tutor who takes your score seriously and has actually been through this process at a high level, I'd be glad to work with you.

Every session starts with a diagnostic to find out exactly where you're losing points. Most students overestimate one section and underestimate another, so that gets sorted before touching a single practice problem.
Lessons focus on the actual mechanics of the test. GMAT and GRE work covers Quant, Verbal, and Data Insights or Analytical Writing, with heavy emphasis on timing and elimination strategy under pressure. SAT and ACT work covers Reading, Writing, and Math, plus Science for ACT, always tied directly to how the test is structured and scored.
Each student gets a running log of question types they consistently miss, so review time goes exactly where it's needed. Full-length timed practice tests are a regular part of the routine, since pacing under real test conditions is usually the biggest score gap for students.
Lessons are structured around your target score and your test date, working backward from there.

I worked with Nick for several months on GMAT prep, and it made a massive difference not just in my score, but in how I approached the test overall. He's great at breaking down tricky quant concepts and really nails the strategy side of things too, which is honestly where I was struggling most (timing, process of elimination, knowing when to guess and move on).
Just found out I got into my third choice program, and I genuinely don't think I'd be here without the work we put in together.A friend recommended him about a year ago and it's been one of the best decisions I've made for my Italian. He's so patient and makes lessons genuinely fun. I had a trip to Italy coming up and he completely shifted focus to help me prepare and it paid off HUGE. I was out there having real conversations. Can't recommend him enough!
Been doing Italian lessons with Nicholas for a few months. My partner's family is Italian and I wanted to actually connect with them instead of just nodding along at dinners, so he spent sessions on the phrases and little things that matter at a family table. Made a real difference the last time we visited. Patient, doesn't make you feel dumb when you butcher a word. Would recommend if you want lessons that feel like real conversations, not a textbook.
Found Nicholas through a Reddit thread a while back and I'm so glad I did. I've been learning with him for about 6 months now and it's made a huge difference. He's really patient and doesn't make you feel dumb when you mess up conjugations for the hundredth time (which, let's be honest, happens a lot when you're learning Italian).
What really stood out was when I had a trip to Italy coming up — Nicholas basically shifted our lessons to focus on stuff I'd actually need, like ordering food, small talk, asking for directions, that kind of thing. And it worked! I could actually hold conversations while I was there instead of just pointing at menus and hoping for the best.See more recommendations
