About Muhammad Hamza Waqas

I'm Muhammad Hamza Waqas, a graduate of the University of Oxford where I read Economics & Management, finishing first class and ranking top 10 in my year. Beyond academics, I have a genuine passion for teaching that's taken me across different cultural contexts, including schools in Thailand, which has shaped how I adapt my teaching style to different learners.

Outside of tutoring, I love learning languages and speak around five, and I'm an avid cricket player. I bring the same curiosity and discipline that helped me succeed at Oxford into every session, and I'm invested in helping my students not just prepare for exams, but build confidence and clear thinking skills that last well beyond the test itself.

About the lesson

My approach starts with a personalised diagnostic test to pinpoint exactly where you're strong and where you need work, so every session is targeted rather than generic. I then build a plan around your specific weak points, moving at your pace rather than a fixed syllabus.

Sessions are one-on-one and typically run 60–90 minutes, combining focused topic teaching with timed practice under exam conditions, especially important for TARA/TSA and SAT preparation where pacing is half the battle.

I'm a first class Economics & Management graduate from the University of Oxford, ranking top 10 in my year with the highest mark in Strategic Management. I have over two years' experience in university admissions counselling, alongside tutoring TARA/TSA admissions prep, SAT, and A-Level Maths and Economics.

Lessons suit sixth-form and college students preparing for competitive university admissions tests, A-Levels, or the SAT. Availability is currently limited, so please get in touch to check current slots.
