About Erin

My cello journey started when I was 9 years old in 2009. In my school we had the choice to pick up an instrument and I chose the cello. Our school also gave the chance to participate to London College of Music Examinations by University of West London. I started taking the first level in 2011. I realized that school’s lessons weren’t enough so I began taking private lessons and prepare for London College of Music Examinations. From 2014, I took lessons from Julide Canca Eke in “Canca Music Studio” which is a Private Music Studio based in Istanbul. She helped me for my final examination in 2015. She also gave me the chance to attend group classes which helped me understand the collaborative music atmosphere. Every year, my teacher organized a music concert as the cello group in noteworthy concert venues like Zorlu Performing Arts Center for 200 people. I performed solo, in duets and also ensembles. In 2018, during the summer I helped my teacher as an assistant at the studio by giving part-time lessons to younger and older people including first time learners of the cello. I enjoyed teaching and the collaborative interaction between group lessons. I hope to teach all levels and age groups.

About the lesson

My plan is to teach all age groups starting from the age of 7 years old. Each lesson will be for one hour. Students are expected to take 1 hour of class per week. If there are students who are willing to pursue a serious pathway and attend examinations, they can come more than one day per week. Each student is expected to practice outside of class during the week as they will be given homework. I will give each student a different repertoire depending on which levels they sit. All levels are welcome including Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, Professionals and Kids. Can prepare for stage performances and examinations such as London College of Music Examinations by University of West London.
